In 1999, Pierre Signolle took over Château Vieux Landat, starting planting and a new variety was introduced, Petit Verdot. The vineyard, in the world-famous Haut-Médoc (where most value Bordeaux comes from) appellation, yields three grape varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This wine is classic Bordeaux in style, with Merlot dominance it is elegant with classic tobacco and forest flavours. This wine is so damned quaffable it is easiest to just go straight in for a full case.
