Escondite del Ardacho Veriquete, Tentenublo, Rioja, Spain
One of our favourite up-and-coming Rioja producers
From a 105 year old single vineyard, this wine from Tentenublo is a modern take on the Rioja blend. Winemaker and owner Roberto Olivàn places less emphasis on oak and lets the grapes and terroir do the talking. He loves lizards too, hence why he’s named the wine Ardacho after a lizard that lives on the outskirts of the vineyard. A blend of mostly Tempranillo with a touch of Garnacha, this is a broad and intense wine that goes well with almost all foods.
